Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby with me, and other babies in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! Everything was starting to fall in place, yet we were nowhere near done. The project would require money, effort, and my favorite shopping for furniture to decorate this home. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while going to estate sales in order to help ensure that my spending was under control. Every week, we spent Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. After that, I repainted and smoothed the driveway during the workweek. The furniture looked like this... which is where I found my love for restoration. When our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! There was an area on the market, where I would sell things. My collection eventually grew enough that the area I had available was inadequate. In my own home, I would host open houses where more than 1000 guests could visit to purchase anything they liked on the 1st floor within a single weekend. Growing Days was created in the home. My business was booming, but my family was also growing. It was like I had found the perfect balance between being a mum and starting my new venture. Growing Days was the obvious decision. My precious Nora arrived in the year 2013, our fourth baby. My business's direction was great, but I had to take some time off. I made the decision to take some breaks from my old furniture and slow down to be at home with my children. It was the ideal thing to do. It was only after several months when the phones began to ring. I was getting calls from people needing help with the interior decoration and remodeling. Many of the people calling me were from those who came to my house at one of the furniture open houses. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. It began with taking clients at a pace that I could be comfortable with. If you had said to me that this company of mine could become an idea for a TV show on DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. Actually I still kind of amused when I think of it.
